d14 Studio Featured in Voyage Michigan

We’re excited to share that d14 Studio was recently featured by Voyage Michigan.

The feature highlights the story behind d14 Studio, how the space came to life, and the vision behind creating a refined, industrial-modern studio environment for photographers, brands, and creative teams in Metro Detroit.

d14 Studio was built as the creative content studio division of Modern Body Engineering in Madison Heights — combining industrial architecture, layered textures, controlled light, and production-ready functionality in one flexible space.

From the beginning, the goal was to create something that felt different from a traditional photography rental studio. The studio was designed to feel intentional, architectural, and editorial — with clean lines, neutral tones, textured walls, flexible backdrops, natural light, blackout options, and professional lighting tools that allow photographers and creative teams to move efficiently between looks.

The Voyage Michigan interview also shares more about the evolution of the studio, the inspiration behind the space, and the importance of creating an environment that feels both elevated and easy to work in.

Today, d14 Studio is used for branding sessions, fashion editorials, product photography, commercial campaigns, portraits, content creation, and creative collaborations throughout Metro Detroit.

The studio includes:

  • Natural north-facing light with filtering and blackout options

  • Professional Godox continuous lighting

  • Neutral, industrial-modern backdrops and textures

  • Flexible setups for branding, fashion, portrait, and product work

  • Free parking directly at the entrance

  • Easy ground-level load-in

  • Private restroom and changing area

  • Self check-in and production-friendly access

We’re incredibly grateful to Voyage Michigan for featuring d14 Studio and helping us share the story behind the space.
